BIOGRAPHY

Joshua Goldstein is a classically trained cellist who has been pursuing music since the age of 5.  He has a wide variety of musical experience including a strong teaching record as well as a broad range of performance experience.

Joshua attended Elon University where he pursued a Bachelor's degree in both Music Performance and Applied Mathematics.  He studied with cellist Meaghan Skogen gaining a in depth knowledge of the cello repertoire and classical performance.  During his time at Elon Joshua performed with a variety of ensembles including the Elon Orchestra, Choir, Cello Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, and various musical theater Pit Orchestras.  He also performed with and arranged music for the Elon Music Ambassadors, a group which toured around high schools in the southeast United States to showcase Elon University to graduating juniors and seniors.

Following this Joshua attended the University of Texas at El Paso and obtained his Masters in Music Performance studying with world renown cellist Zuill Bailey.  During his time at UTEP Joshua honed his skill is both performing and teaching.  Joshua taught lessons for the undergraudate students and also maintained a small private studio in the El Paso area. He also performed with the UTEP Orchestra, UTEP Chamber Orchestra, Juarez Symphony Orchestra, Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra as well as various cello ensemble groups culminating in a performance in the El Paso Pro Musica Festival.  Joshua also attended and performed as part of the inaugural Sitka Cello Seminar in Sitka, AK where he studied with Melissa Kraut as well as Zuill Bailey.

After graduating Joshua moved to Las Vegas, NV where he currently resides.  He is active with teaching, performing, arranging and recording.  He maintains a small private studio and also regularly records solo and cello ensemble works in the studio in his home.
